Very respectable Trower tone, I don't say that lightly as he is the master to me. The tone works across the board on his early work and his later stuff. Although a bit dark I dig the sound of the G12Ks you are getting.

Thanks surf! I really appreciate your opinion since your own music is incredible along similar lines or Trower, Gilmour and your own signature style that is the first I've heard from any artist that I really enjoy. I just wish I could learn how to produce and maybe we will once you post some lessons on how to do it! (hint hint!)  

Well I don't remember exactly what I commented here Frank except maybe....

1. You rock. I got really inspired watching you solo in the video clip when you really start diggin' in.
2. I never dug Trower till now, having checked him out after listening to your clips. I don't know, every time I heard his music, I just thought "Damn how much can you rip off Jimi???" But I appreciate it much more now-it's really a different kinda vibe (no pun intended). I love his playing on Jack Bruce's "Seven Moons" btw. Great album.

Ha-Ha Thanks Gonzo! That's the one I remembered most how funny the part about the GAS for a Les Paul went away!  

Thanks again about my tone. I really work tweaking it all the time and the VM has helped put me there. Surrprising how god it sounds with the Mode IV cab! I just snagged a 1960AV (V30s) cab so that makes 3 half stacks to pick from! (a greenback cab, G12K100s or V30s) How much better can it get?!

Yeah, Trower's vibe is completely different than most people think. Most rock music today can find some root no mater how small back to something Jimi already did but Trower got a bad rap early on when he released his first record whihc had a Tribute to Jimi on it and it was intended to sound like Jimi. So he was branded that way though if you listen to his music, you rarely hear anything he plays that's a direct rip off of a JImi lick. It's just that he taps into that same kind fo Band of Gypsys type vibe but in the past 30+ years he's taken it to a whole new level in his own direction. Thanks a lot for the re-post!!!

Shit no! ha ha ha   Seriously though, I just moved and my gear, cables, etc. are all over the place but maybe in another week I'll sit back down for some mroe solos and hopefully wrap that project up.  Haven't played in almost 2 weeks & gotta' bone up for an acoustic gig tonight, Neil Young, CCR, Skynyrd strummin' stuff
