Here's another pic from our recording session. Just thought I'd post it for the hell of it.

The VM looks perfect on top of a 1936, and even more perfect on a modern sized model. I own the vintage version of the cab (only 9" deep) and my quarter stack is a little shaky, also without the anti skid trays the amp can easily slither off the cab.

True, but from what I understand, the vintage sized cabs sound better.
Yes, that is Faze's old cab. _________________ ![]() |

They must have swtched to MDF in the mid eighties - JCM800 1936 cabs (modern size) exist in both ply as well as in MDF with only a ply baffle.

Thanks.
I don't have the skills or patience either, I bought it from Faze. He started the project (stripped the stock cab) but found it was much more work than he anticipated. Removing and replacing the rivets was the big thing. In the end he had a shop actually do the tolexing for him. There are many places that can do it for you. I've heard that even upholstery places can do it. _________________ ![]() |

Can't beat Faze's old cab. That looks about perfect.
