Post Broken VM?
Went into band practice last night, plugged the VM head into the Marshall cab that was in the room, attached the footswitch for the first time ever and turned it on........NO SOUND!  I did get a small crackle when pushing the dynamic range button though :s

Not kidding, I could have cried.  Been working perfectly since the day I bought it.

The LED next to the standby switch wasn’t lit up but the LED at the dynamic range button was.  I know this could be coincidence and just a broken LED but it just seems odd that the LED doesn’t light up and I have no sound coming from the speaker.

I know it’s probably hard to suggest possible causes without seeing the amp but just wondering if anyone has had a similar sounding issue in the past etc?

Thought I’d ask here before taking it to a tech.

Ps.  The cables and cab work perfectly as we tried another head in place.

Try replacing the fuses before anything.

I assume it would be the HT fuse if I am still seeing LED light up etc and not the mains fuse?

Would these be the correct fuses to use for the HT (the 500mA one)

Yes those fuses from Maplin will do the job.

Check the HT fuse.

The purple indicator light has probably gone off but this would not disable the sound of the amp. It is wired across the 6.3VAC heater supply so if the output valves are still glowing, then the heater supply is ok and you need a new BULB-00007.

I ended up taking the amp into a tech.  I checked the fuses and they were fine.

I just spoke to the tech and they have the amp up and running but they having trouble with the reverb.  I've to phone back tomorrow as the dude working on my amp isnt in today.

Not really having much experience with this side of amps is it possible that the reverb part of the amp being defective could have caused my issue?
